This place was just what we were looking for. We wanted a last-minute 1-night excursion to see someplace new, get some outdoor time, and eat some delicious seafood to celebrate our 34th anniversary. We loved Ogunquit! This motel was just right for us, because of the downtown location and the low cost. Actually, it was one of the only vacancies in town that we could find at the last minute! We parked our car (free parking lot) when we checked in and didn't move it until a couple of hours after check-out! We walked everywhere.... to many restaurants and shops, and to the beach, and also the beautiful Marginal Way and Perkins Cove. We hardly spent any time inside our motel room. If you are looking for a motel that has a great location, free off-street parking and courteous front desk staff, but not much else, then this might be the perfect place for you, too. If you require luxury, ambiance, tasteful decor, a good mattress, on-site food, elevator, good TV, nice views, good lighting, accessible electrical outlets, good water pressure in the shower, or any other amenities, then you might want to look elsewhere. So, I can't say that I would recommend it to a friend, but as for us, we would probably stay here again!
This was our first time in Ogunquit, Maine and we could not have chosen a better place to stay. It was my fiance’ Birthday weekend getaway. I booked the room through a third-party website at random. We chose an inexpensive stay so we could have more time over the weekend. The location is perfect. It’s right downtown in the middle of all shops, restaurants and nightlife. It’s a five minute walk to the beach. Staff was very accommodating. Our room was small but quaint. There was free coffee every morning. It was very quiet at night. We had a room in the back right off a shared deck where we layed out in the sun all day. Perfect spot for morning and even sun right outside our door. BBQ grills were available. Again, the best part was the location. We could walk to the beach then go back to the room. Go to lunch/dinner then go back to the room. Walk around town then go back to the room. It was very convenient. Once you park your car it stays there. If you are high maintenance or have high expectations this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for a decent priced getaway in a million-dollar location with great staff this is the place for you. We stayed 3 nights for under 300 dollars, 6/8 - 6/11booked months in advance.
The rooms were super clean, comfortable, everything in working order but dated. A refresher would be a great asset because of the location of the hotel. It's 5min walk from the beach and in the center of town. Host was super friendly.
This is a great place stay. Its older in style and charm but very clean and quiet. The keepers are super friendly and accommodating. The room we had was small but didn't mind since we spent all our time away from the room. Also just less than 5mins walk from the beach and 1min walk from all the action on Main St. Great place to spend a few nights!
Location was great, right in the heart of the shops and restaurants. A very short walk to both the beach and the Marginal Way. Hotel was kind of old and the rooms were not spotless, however the beds are quite comfortable and all rooms have AC.
Location location location. The Betty Doon is a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. It is smack dab in the middle of the town. You are with in a short walk of food, entertainment, and all the small shops(clothes, candy stores ice cream etc.) you could want. The staff are incredibly friendly and very accommodating. I'd most definitely stay here again.
This place was great! A quick 5 minute walk to an amazing sand beach. Around the corner from downtown Ogunquit with its cute shops. Not far from a tasty lobster roll place. And a short drive after from the BOS airport and Portland Maine. The staff was uber friendly and helpful, and even though their office closed before our arrival they were able to easily work things out with us.
Loved the vintage place. Reminded me of staying at my Grams cottage. Felt so safe and loved. It is noisey because you are in middle of town but that is what I was looking for. Quick walk to beach and all the night life.
